Upgrading your cables

Q: Why should I upgrade my cables?
A:  If you have just spent $300-$2000 on a DVD player it makes sense to spend a little more on cables in order to greatly enhance the audio and visual aspects of your DVD player. Home installation specialists' rule of thumb is that you should spend 10-20% of the cost of your home theater system on cables. Hence if you have just purchased a $500 DVD player you should really expect to buy some audio and video cables ranging from $50-$100. This small investment could make your $500 dvd player audio and visual outputs look and sound like that of a $2000 DVD player.

Q: What cables will I get with my DVD player?
A:  The typical DVD player will come with one set of cables, this will be one cord combined together with one red, one yellow and one white RCA jack at each end. The red and white jacks would be used for connecting Audio and the yellow jack would be used for connecting video.
